In Building A1, two large computer rooms are in operation on the 2nd floor, under the supervision of the University Computer Centre.

In addition, you will also have wifi internet access in your rooms in the hostels.

Internet access is also available in the Central Library and at many other spots around.

Printing & Photocopying

You can find a stationary shop in Building A1, mezzanine. There is also one on the ground floor of Building A1, near the entrance closest to the student hostels. It provides printing and photocopying and also scanning.

In addition, a number of photocopiers are installed at different parts of the university (e.g. in academic blocks and the library).

Students are advised to go shopping to the nearby hypermarkets LIDL and TESCO, or go downtown for doing their everyday shopping. There is a small tobacco shop, next to the canteen.

The permanent exhibition displaying a unique collection of the technical publications of the 16th – 19th centuries has thousands of Hungarian and foreign visitors every year paying tribute to the rich technical and scientific heritage of the first technical college of the world, which is the legal predecessor of the University of Miskolc.  The Historical Collection preserves the material relics of education and the life of youth and displays them in a permanent exhibition (“From Selmec to Miskolc, 1735 – 1985”). A number of temporary exhibitions can be visited by the public, too.
